Is there a validity period for shipping labels created on EC-Ship Online Portal?

    Yes. Shipping labels are valid for posting within 90 days (from the first date the label is created and saved). Please ensure that a valid shipping label is used for posting. In case a shipping label expires, it can no longer be used.

    Any incomplete shipping label will be deleted after 90 days (from the first date that label is created and saved).

Can senders upload a large batch of EC-Ship posting information in one file (e.g. an excel or a csv file)?
  • Yes, 500 pieces of posting information at maximum can be uploaded each time.

Can more than one shipping label be printed on an A4 paper?
  • Yes. More than one shipping label can be printed on an A4 paper.

Can more than one shipping label be generated at one time?
  • Yes. A maximum of 20 shipping labels can be prepared for the same country/region at one time.

Can senders change the design or size of an EC-Ship shipping label?
  • No. Any change made to the design or size of an EC-Ship shipping label may render the system unable to read the barcode or cause delays in delivery. Hongkong Post may not accept items with barcode on the address label that cannot be read by the system.

What payment options are available at EC-Ship?
  • For non-bulk mailing services, sender may pay for the Estimated Postage online using a credit card. Alternatively, sender may make a payment by cash, EPS, Octopus, stamp, postage label, credit card, Faster Payment System (FPS), e-wallet (Alipay, WeChat Pay, BOC Pay /Union Pay QR), or via Permit Mailing Deposit Account (prior application to the Financial Services Division of Hongkong Post is required) at a designated post office. For the payment methods of mail services for bulk mailing, please refer to the Terms and Conditions of respective services, which are available at https://ec-ship.hongkongpost.hk/platform/sinfo.jsp.

  • The postage rates for Air / Surface Registered Mail, Speedpost Service and Air / Surface Parcel sent via EC-Ship are the same as those for ordinary Air / Surface Registered Mail, Air/Surface Ordinary Mail, Air/Surface Insured Mail, Speedpost Service and Air / Surface Parcel.
(6) e-Express+ Service
  • The postage rates depend on the weight of an item and its destination. The postage rates for e-Express+ Service items of different weights destined for the Mainland, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Viet Nam, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, Cambodia, Ireland, Latvia, Slovenia, South Africa, Iceland, Mexico, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Greece, Pakistan, Croatia, Romania, Morocco, Egypt, Malta, Sri Lanka, Lithuania, Estonia, Lebanon and the United States, please click here.
  • e-Express+ Service items will not be classified as First Class Air Mail or Second Class Air Mail. Regardless of whether the package is sealed (sealed item) or easy to open (unsealed item), a flat rate is charged.
  • The item weight shown on the electronic scale of HKP shall prevail.

If senders choose to pay for postage by credit card online, are they required to use the same credit card for each postage payment?
  • Senders may use different credit cards for each postage payment.

Can senders cancel a shipping label before posting?
  • Yes.
  • The sender should go to "Edit/ View Shipping Label" page at EC-Ship Online Portal and complete the following four steps:
    • Step 1: Click "Pending for Posting".
    • Step 2: Search for one or more shipping labels.
    • Step 3: Click "View" against the shipping label.
    • Step 4: Click "Cancel Posting".

Why some of the content is missing when I print the shipping label?
It is because the Chinese fonts are missing in your Adobe Reader. It is suggested to use Chinese Adobe Reader or English Adobe Reader with Chinese Fonts installed in your computer.
