Counter Collection Service of Local CourierPost

The new counter collection service allows customers to pick up Local CourierPost items from any of our post offices (except mobile post offices) without waiting for delivery. This new offering particularly caters for those recipients who prefer to collect their mail items at the time and the post office of their choice.

How to use the service?
  • Sender to register at the "EC-Ship" online platform (https://ec-ship.hongkongpost.hk).
  • Select Local CourierPost's counter collection service at "EC-Ship" online platform, input posting information, choose the preferred post office for collecting the item, and make payment online by credit card, or payment by cash, EPS or Octopus (Only available in post offices installed with Octopus facility) at designated post office.
  • Online Payment, print out the address pack slip and stick it on the mail item, visit any of our EC-Ship acceptance offices* for posting the item, OR
  • Select counter payment, print out the address pack slip and stick it on the mail item, visit any of our EC-Ship acceptance offices *for payment by cash, EPS or Octopus (Only available in post offices installed with Octopus facility) and posting the item.

  • Maximum weight limit per item is 2kg.
  • The actual postage to be charged will be applied according to the prevailing postage rates at the time of posting. In case the postage paid online by credit card is different from the postage rate at the time of posting, sender has to make a top-up payment for the shortfall in the postage at the counter in the post office by cash, EPS or Octopus (Only available in counters installed with Octopus facility). Mixed payment of cash, EPS or Octopus (Only available in counters installed with Octopus facility) will also be accepted at the counter.
Service Standard
  • The item will be available for collection at designated post office by its close of business on the next working day after the item is posted*. Addressee can bring along necessary documents to pick up the item from post office during office hours.

* The sender and the addressee will receive our email or SMS (SMS notification for the addressee only) notifying the item is available for collection at designated post office.
Note: Item that has not been collected within 14 days will be returned to the sender.

Note: Sundays and public holidays are excluded for the purpose of determining the date of posting for all mail items and for performance measurement under the performance pledges.

Item Collection Procedure
  • If the addressee receives an email notifying him/her that the item is available for collection, he/she has to set up a personal collection code via a hyperlink provided in the email. Please bring along a printed copy of the email notification, your valid proof of identity and the collection code to the designated post office to collect the item and sign for receipt.
  • If the addressee receives a SMS (with item number and collection code) notifying him/her that the item is available for collection, please bring along the SMS to the designated post office to collect the item and sign for receipt.
