Select Collection Post Office and "iPostal Station"

What is it?

In meeting the changing needs of e-commerce, Hongkong Post provides a new mail collection solution in upgrading online shopping experience. After online registration of Mail Collection Number (MCN) in EC-ship online platform, you can choose to collect mail items at a selected self-service "iPostal Station" and/or a post office without additional charge.

How to Register a Mail Collection Number (MCN)?

Log on to EC-Ship and register a Mail Collection Number (MCN)

During the registration, you will be guided to select a collection post office & iPostal Station and go through simple verification on your Hong Kong postal address and mobile number for future communication / notification. Upon completion, you will receive an 8-digit MCN number.

How to use MCN?

Send with MCN

Ask the sender (both local and overseas) to write your MCN information and postal address onto the mail.

SMS Notification

When the mail item is delivered to the selected post office or iPostal Station, you will receive a SMS notification for mail collection.

Collect

Go to the post office and show the SMS to Hongkong Post staff or input your MCN and SMS passcode to iPostal Station for collection.

Note: Mail items not under the service scope of MCN or bearing incorrect or invalid Mail Collection Number, HKP will deliver to the delivery address, if there is, as appeared on the mail item. Please refer to respective service terms and conditions for details.

Service Conditions

Applicable for the following mail types:

Local Ordinary Mail (Packets only)
International Ordinary Mail (Packets only)
Local Parcel
International Parcel
Smart Post Mail Delivery Service (only items within the weight and size limits of Packets)
EMS

Upon receipt of SMS notification, the mail item will be made available for collection for 48 hours. After 48 hours, the mail item will be transferred to the nearby post office for counter collection.

Mail Collection flow

Step 1: Receive collection notification by SMS with a collection passcode.

Step 2: Enter the MCN at the selected iPostal Station, then enter the collection passcode; informed of locker number; and locker door will open automatically.

Step 3: Collect mail item from the locker.
